Medicine For The People makes some of the most moving and healing music I have ever listened to. Their music and lyrics make you feel empowered, overwhelmingly grateful, and not so alone. Their music teaches truths. It has and continues to help me in my process of learning to be human. It is music that can help one transmute their emotions and energies into more desirable vibrations, attitudes, and behaviors. It is music for a social, physical, mental, and spiritual evolution. If you have not yet gotten the chance to check them out then please do yourself a favor and go listen to their musical alchemy <3 ------> Nahko.com ------> MedicineForThePeopleFacebook ------> MedicineForThePeopleYouTube *peace*

Here are some new artists I've heard these days that I absolutely love. They are a little more on the pop site than what I've previously posted. Robyn. Obviously. Penguin Prison. This guy reminded me a little bit of Robyn and La Roux and definitely reminded me of 80s Michael Jackson. His voice also reminds me of another artist named Bernhoft (another artist you should check out). This specific song is one of my favorites so far, reminds me a little of ABBA but it's got a cool dub effect in there a little bit too. DubFX. Great vibes. A friend on youtube, TheRiffShaman, recommended DubFX to me. I absolutely love his sounds. Other than these artists I've mentioned I've run across a lot of other great music. I've gotten a little bit into Dubstep, I really like the deep bass and wobble bass stuff. It is tasty to my ears.
I. Absolutely. Love. This. Band. Listener. I first heard about them when I watched The Chariot's "David De La Hoz" video. The Chariot is another one of my favorite bands of all time. First let me show you the video... The guy standing with bare feet in the side room, where two other guys are playing video games, is Dan Smith, one of the guys from Listener. They call their genre of music "Talk Music". More generally its called "spoken word", but I believe it is a true genre of music. It's beautiful poetry that they usually put to music, which can really help the feeling of the poem. It's a very different kind of music and I love it. Here is the wiki page for them: Listener (band). And here is one of their videos. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs (although it really is hard to choose) and I feel like it is a perfect example of the real church (the church as a body of people, not a place). And here are the lyrics. Here is another of theirs, one of the first of theirs that I'd seen, and it just has to be heard, its beautiful and gives me chills every time. Here are the lyrics too, cause you really need to follow this story - lyrics Well that's what I got for now. Please check out The Chariot and Listener. I can't get enough of them.
Hello internet people. I was just sitting here ready to update my Road To Getting Ripped blog and listening to what little music that I have on my iTunes right now (I have such a small amount because my old hard-drive just recently died on me and I haven't gotten to importing all my music yet). Then I figured why don't I start my music blog off with what I'm listening to right now, which happens to be Queens Club. I listen to a lot of Christian music and I especially love the Christian rock and hardcore and apparently the headman for Queens Club used to play for The Chariot, my other absolute favorite band. Queens Club's music is sort of dance-y rock but it also sounds great as acoustic music. They have a little bit of The Vines sound to them, but the shots of melodic electric guitar is nice and refreshing and really do energize you making you want to dance your troubles away. This is the music video to one of my favorite songs of theirs... That will have to be it for now. I've got other things to do and other blogs to update ;)
